Workstation Installation Instructions

|
| Install Active Sync 4.5 or newer on your computer if you don't already have this installed you can download and install from Microsoft's download site (click here to proceed)
Note: If you have Windows Vista, your synchronization settings will be managed through the Windows Mobile Device Center. Windows Mobile Device Center is available through the Windows Mobile Device Center page.

| Make sure to plug your device into your computer |
| Synchronize the Mobile Device with the computer |
Install the remote desktop utility on your computer enabling you the capability of remote assistance
Check your device you will be asked where to install select the "Device" location and click Install"(use "on device" option)
Note: the remote desktop utility is not compatible with Vista

Install Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 2.0 SP1 on your computer
As soon as this is done a installation will start on the device.
You will be asked where to install select the "Device" location and click Install"(use "on device" option)

Install Microsoft SQL Server Compact for Devices on your computer (Note: if you get a message indicating this installation isn't required skip it.)
As soon as this is done a installation will start on the device.
You will be asked where to install select the "Device" location and click Install"(use "on device" option)

Install Microsoft SQL Server Compact 3.5 run time on your computer (Note: if you get a message indicating this installation isn't required skip it.)
As soon as this is done a installation will start on the device.
You will be asked where to install select the "Device" location and click Install"(use "on device" option)

** for 64x computers only*** Install Microsoft SQL Server Compact 3.5 SP2 for desktop** on your computer

Device Installation Instructions

| Using the file explorer in the Active Sync copy the SQL Server Compact 3.5 Core file to the device
Windows Mobile 5 Device - If your device is Windows Mobile 5 or newer operating system then Proceed to the device and click the SQL Server Compact 3.5 Core file to initiate the installation again You will be asked where to install select the "Device" location and click Install"

| Using the file explorer in the Active Sync copy the SQL Server Compact 3.5 Tools file to the device
Windows Mobile 5 Device - If your device is Windows Mobile 5 or newer operating system then Proceed to the device and click the SQL Server Compact 3.5 Tools file to initiate the installation again You will be asked where to install select the "Device" location and click Install"

| Using the file explorer in the Active Sync copy the SQL Server Compact 3.5 Replication file to the device
Windows Mobile 5 Device - If your device is Windows Mobile 5 or newer operating system then Proceed to the device and click the SQL Server Compact 3.5 Replication file to initiate the installation again You will be asked where to install select the "Device" location and click Install"

| Using the file explorer in the Active Sync copy the Simms Mobile Program file to the device
Proceed to the device and click the Simms Mobile Program file you copied to the device to initiate the installation again You will be asked where to install select the "Device" location and click Install"(use "on device" option)

Syncronizing SIMMS Software with SIMMS Windows Mobile

| Login to Simms, login to simms and proceed to Warehouse\Mobile Devices\Windows Mobile
|
| Connect and sync to device - click connect, then click the button labeled "To device" once you have selected the desired transfer options as illustrated below

| Start using the program. Go to device\program Files\Simms Mobile and start the windows mobile program as illustrated below.

| On the device you will receive a message indicating there is a new data base select yes to utilize the database per the illustration below
|

| Use the program

| When you want to Synchronize back to the computer proceed to the device and go to "settings" menu and choose "Prepare for download" as illustrated below

| Put the device in the cradle and let active sync syncronize, then login to SIMMS, launch the windows mobile module and select connect, choose "From Device " per the image below
